INVITATION Pilot Training Course HYDROGEN TRANSPORT AND ENERGY under the Green Skills for Hydrogen Programme

Why join?

 - Hydrogen, as the clean fuel of the future, is a key pillar of the EU Green Deal.

 - The National Hydrogen Roadmap adopted in 2023 highlights the need to develop practical solutions for introducing hydrogen technologies.

 - By 2030, Europe will need around 1 million skilled professionals in renewable energy and hydrogen.

 - The Green Skills for Hydrogen project already presents a Core Curriculum focused on the competencies and professional profiles identified in the European Hydrogen Skills Strategy.

 - The training course “Hydrogen Transport and Energy”, developed by Bulgarian experts within the Green Skills for Hydrogen programme, marks an important step towards upskilling and reskilling in the innovative fields of hydrogen transport and hydrogen-based energy.

 - 170 Bulgarian professionals (engineers, technical and administrative staff, managers from the public and private sectors, as well as lecturers and students) who have completed the courses under the programme so far express high satisfaction with the knowledge they have gained.

The programme of the training provides:

THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE on:

 - Fundamentals of hydrogen as an energy carrier

 - Hydrogen technologies for green energy

 - Hydrogen in transport

 - Hydrogen in energy systems

 - Hydrogen safety

 - Hydrogen economics

 - Hydrogen initiatives and regulatory frameworks in the EU and Bulgaria

PRACTICAL TRAINING at the research and innovation facilities of IEES-BAS and CoC HITMOBIL infrastructure including the first in the region hydrogen refueling station and hydrogen car

• Industrial production of green hydrogen

• Operation of a hydrogen refueling station

• Hydrogen fuel cell car refueling

• Test drive of a hydrogen car

• Monitoring and control systems for RES energy generation and storage

• Advanced hydrogen research infrastructure

The working language of the course is Bulgarian.

The programme will run daily from 9:00 to 15:00.

A certificate of attendance will be provided to all participants who successfully complete the programme with an interview.

Important Note! The practical training will not be broadcast online. For online participants, an additional on-site practical session will be organised during the week of 24-28 November 2025 for in-person practical training, when they will also be able to receive their certificates.

The training is free of charge.

Please note that on-site participation is limited to 48 people, accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Accommodation, transport and meals are participants own responsibility. Refreshments (coffee, tea and water) and light snacks will be provided during the breaks between lectures.
